Does your child have a genuine interest in music? Can they read and recognise the letters A-G and numbers 1-5? Are they able to concentrate for a period of up to 15 minutes? If so, then piano lessons will be of great benefit to them. Not only will they gain a valuable ability in learning an instrument but they will also improve in school. Studies have shown that learning an instrument helps to improve memory, increases mathematical skill and (when in a group setting) can help your child with developing their social skills.
I provide a professional and quality service in teaching the piano to young children. I have been playing for 18 years and teaching keyboard in various primary schools in the Mandurah/Rockingham for the last seven years. The majority of my experience is with primary aged students (6-12) although I have taught several 5 year olds in the past. For younger students I recommend a consultation before committing to lessons.

The first term fee is $27 for 30 minutes, however be please be aware that this is only a starting price. After the first term, your child is able to concentrate for longer periods of time and I will usually extend the lesson time to 40 minutes. This is a much more realistic time frame to include all aspects of musicianship (theory, aural training and sight reading).
